Suqrat bin Bisher

Suqrat is the Al Qasimi Foundation’s Arts & Culture Manager. Previously, he worked as a Teaching Assistant at the Higher College of Technology - Dubai Men’s College, where he also received his Applied Communication BA. Suqrat is a member of the UAE Special Olympics and UAE Youth Council. He is an artist and arts administrator, having organized more than five art exhibitions and directed more than seven short films and documentaries, some of which were screened at the Gulf Film Festival in 2011. Suqrat is the Director and Co-Founder of the Dubai Students Film Festival and is passionate about supporting creative minds in the UAE, especially locals.

Gretchen Flores

Gretchen serves as RAKFAF’s Festival Manager. Her role focuses solely on the festival and working together with the Festival Director for its successful execution each year. She is the first point of contact for all festival-related matters, leading and assisting in the planning, scheduling, coordination, and execution of each festival edition. Gretchen holds a BS in Education from Bicol University, Philippines. She has also completed formal training programs in events management and curation at Sotheby’s Institute of Art and the University of London. She currently pursues a master’s degree in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Wollongong in Dubai. To Gretchen, there is nothing more rewarding than the result, when planning the festival. She loves seeing the community enjoying themselves with the exhibitions, tours, workshops, and thematic weekend events, seeing everyone connect and share their experiences.

Aaesha Al Ahmed

Aaesha is responsible for RAKFAF’s Media and Communications. She oversees the creation of multimedia content to effectively communicate the festival's key messages to its local and international communities via media relations and social media management, as well as promoting the festival to external stakeholders to establish strong relationships. Aaesha holds a master's in Media and Communications from the University of Wollongong Dubai, and a Bachelor of Applied Media from the Higher Colleges of Technology in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. Her goal is to support the expansion of arts and culture initiatives, scale up our festival, and establish sustainable festival eco-systems of community engagement and partnerships with local and international stakeholders.
